1- Nature a la Carte, (its owners, associates, agents and employees) manifest that they assume no responsibility for any injury, loss or damage to person or property in connection with any service resulting directly or indirectly from acts of God, detention, annoyance, delays and expenses arising from quarantine, strikes, thefts, pilferage, irregularity, failure of any means of conveyance to arrive or depart as scheduled, civil disturbances, government restrictions or regulations, discrepancies or change in transportation service, hotel services, air flights, car rentals or tours over which we have no control.
2- Nature a la Carte will not be held responsible for any loss of life, personal injury, cancellations, delays, over-bookings, loss or damage of baggage and/or loss of services as a result of the same caused by any domestic flights, hotel stays, car rentals, transportation service or tours within Costa Rica from third parties involved in the operation. Some trip packages or itineraries will require domestic flights, car rentals, bus or van transportation that will be arranged through Nature a la Carte by contracting the services from third parties.
3- In the event that customers decide to book an itinerary that requires any domestic flight, hotel accommodations, car rentals, transportation service or tours within Costa Rica, Nature a la Carte will not assume responsibility for cancellations, delays, over bookings, or any loss of services from any of the parties involved in the operation.
4- Nature a la Carte reserves the right to withdraw a trip or any part of it, to make such alterations in the trip package or itinerary as it deems necessary for the comfort or well-being of the participants and to pass on to the client any expenditure or losses caused by delays or events beyond our control.
Customer Liability (Your Responsibility)
1- It is your responsibility to make all of the connections and check in on time. Nature a la Carte assumes NO RESPONSIBILITY for a customer arriving late or being a “NO SHOW” due to any problem of personal nature.
2- The customer is also obliged to have the proper travel documents. We strongly recommend you to check with your immigration department or the closest Costa Rica consulate to your area to see if any other documentation is needed before you book a trip package.
Your Responsibility with Hotels You are bound to keep the decore and respect that any accommodation business will relate to as their terms and conditions. Nature a la Carte will not be responsible for early departures nor will Nature a la Carte refund money due to any client due to personal problems with hotel staff or policies inside the facilities of a hotel. Check in and check out times should be taken in consideration since we will not be responsible in case of a failure in either of them due to the customers’ fault.
Your Responsibility during a tour You will be under the terms and conditions from each one of our tour operators, but in general, you need to maintain the safety and well-being of the whole group during a tour. Nature a la Carte will no be responsible for a cancellation or exclusion in a tour due to rude or dangerous behaviors from customers.
Your Responsibility with Car Rental Companies Nature a la Carte is acting as third party agent. Nature a la Carte DOES NOT cover or collect any insurance payments from the client. The basic insurance of your vehicle and any additional insurance will be your responsibility and must be purchased by the client at the time contacts are signed between client and the car rental company. Damages to the vehicle, third party vehicles or any other damage caused by human mistake from the driver will be settled by the client and the car rental company from where the car rental contracts were signed.
Your Responsibility with Domestic Flights Due to space on the aircrafts it is mandatory that each passenger carries a maximum of 2 bags per person that DO NOT exceed 25 pounds combined (This is watched closely). We recommend you to leave any excess luggage in your hotel’s storage room for when you return or make the proper arrangements if needed. Nature a la Carte will not be responsible for delays or missing any flights due to a third party or any customer’s problem. All expenses from that point on will be covered by the customer or the third party involved.
Your Responsibility with Bus Shuttle You are bound to show up 15 minutes prior to time for shuttle bus transfers and due to space in the shuttle bus you are required to carry a maximum of 2 bags per customer. Nature a la Carte will not be responsible for delays or missing any shuttle bus due to a third party or any customer’s problem. All expenses from that point on will be covered by the customer or the third party involved.
Medical, Health & Insurance Customers with existing medical conditions should make them known to Nature a la Carte at the time of booking any trip package or itinerary before their arrival to Costa Rica, given that clients may be, at some time during their trip, in some of the most remote places in Costa Rica. Under certain circumstances, evacuation could be prolonged, difficult, expensive or virtually impossible. Clients should take special care for any such conditions prior to coming to Costa Rica. Hospital facilities can be found throughout Costa Rica and their medical services are excellent however Nature a la Carte assumes no liability for any such medical service or any costs related to any evacuation or provision of medical care if needed.
Customer Conduct Nature a la Carte reserves the right to disqualify, remove or ban any person at any time from any transportation service, hotel, domestic air flight, car rental or tour even though they purchased the trip package or itinerary, when such person’s actions or general deportment impede the operation of any services being rendered or impede the rights, welfare, safety or enjoyment of others. Refunds are usually not given under these circumstances.
Payments Policy Low and High Seasons Reservations – 50% deposit will be charged at booking time and the balance will be charged 31 days prior to arrival. Please make note that there may be exceptions to this policy based on some suppliers who have different payment requirements. Peak Season Reservations – 50% deposit will be charged at booking time and the balance will be charged 61 days prior to arrival. Please make note that there may be exceptions to this policy based on some suppliers who have different payment requirements. Nature a la Carte reserves the right to make exceptions to these policies when suppliers have different payment requirements. Weddings, events and group travel have different payment and cancellation policies depending on the amount of people and the payment policies of each supplier for the particular group.
Legal Limitations Nature a la Carte (its owners, associates, agents, and employees) shall assume no responsibility nor liability for: injury, damage, loss, accident, delay, or irregularity to person or property in connection with any service provided or resulting directly from the following: weather and road conditions, breakdowns, strikes, war, riots, acts of God, detention annoyance, terrorism, thefts, pilferage, force majeure, civil disturbances, government restrictions or regulations, delays and expenses arising from quarantine, failure of any means of conveyance to arrive or depart as scheduled, and discrepancies or changes in transit, car rentals, tours, or hotel services over which Nature a la Carte have no control. Nature a la Carte is a third party agent. All travel documents issued by us, including plane tickets, service vouchers for all your activities (lodging, tours, transportation) are subject to the terms and conditions of each supplier. By tendering payment to Nature a la Carte for any and all services, the participant(s) agrees to accept and be bound by the terms and conditions on this page.
Modifications or changes in your itinerary If you want to make modifications in your Costa Rica Vacations itinerary once it has already confirmed, we will apply our suppliers modifications policies plus a fee of $75.00 per person each time you want to make a change.
In the Case of any Customer Cancellation Please understand that we do need to cover the cost of our Travel Advisors working with you. When a cancellation occurs we have performed all of the steps to book services for you and a cancellation means we must follow almost the same steps to cancel things for you. Our cancellation policy is very simple: we apply the same general cancellation policy of our service providers plus a 7.5% of the total amount of money billed to you.
